St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Colac | Heritage Restoration and Repair | G.H.Veitch Heritage and Monumental Stonemasons

As clearly depicted in the featured image, the Colac Uniting Church, also known as the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church is in dire need of attention. And with the church making contact with G.H.Veitch Stonemasons, we are now happy to announce that agreement has been made for our services to protect the church and its importance within the Victorian regional township of Colac. Our interest in helping to restore and protect the church and its associated structures, will ensure the structures integrity well into the future.

The beautiful tracery window on the southern aspect of the church is our priority. We will be removing the ornate lead glass work in order to protect the original imagery contained.

As the tower is shifting noticeably away from the structure, it will be stabilised and prevented from further movement; safe-guarding the public from harm was the church’s priority, whilst protecting the ornate lead-glass work, and the remaining structure, from any further damage.

Contact and subsequent agreement has been made for G.H.Veitch for our Consultative and Heritage services that are required for the protection of the Church and its adjoining structures.

Together with the Uniting Church of Australia, we will seek to remedy, maintain and enhance this beautiful church with its unique stone composition and design.
